Pollution
Pollution occurred in the environment when the contaminated pollutants surround the environment that will bring adverse effects to all creatures, as well as, to mother earth. Pollutants are the main factors that bring these damages. Pollution disturbs the balance, behaviour, and ecosystem of the environment, along with this it also gives rise to global warming and different diseases. It is also disastrous for the soil; one-third of the earth is already spoiled due to deforestation, irregular practices of the industry, and agriculture. A great deal of soil is on the verge of end within next the sixty years. There are many causes and effects of pollution that are listed below.
Causes of Pollution
Air Pollution
Air pollution chiefly comprised of primary and secondary pollutants. The most significant air pollution source is the burning of fossil fuels, which generates both primary and secondary pollutants. Toxic gases are formed through cars’ fumes when mixed in the atmosphere with other gases such as; carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides. Extensive use of fertilizers in agriculture field also generates high potentials of air pollution. Moreover, ammonia played a significant role in its rise.
Water Pollution
The biggest producers of water pollution are industrial wastewater along with the spry of pesticides and insecticides on plants. It contaminates groundwater which is used for drinking purposes. Oil spills in oceans and seas contribute towards significant damage to our marine life. In developed countries, almost seventy per cent of industrial waste is directly dumped into seas or oceans.
Land Pollution
Land pollution is the destruction of land through various human factors such as deforestation, the use of chemicals, pesticides, insecticides, and mining improperly and carelessly.

Effects of Air Pollution
Air pollution can mainly cause heart attacks, breathing problems, coughing, wheezing, and lung cancer. It doesn’t only effects human beings but also animals and the environment. Acid rains damage trees, water, and soil.
Effects of Water Pollution
Water pollution doesn’t only affect aquatic life but also human life causing an increase in diarrhea and cholera.
Effects of Land Pollution
Land pollution that directly affects our food by eating fruit and vegetables grown in toxic soil results in breathing disorders, skin diseases, cancer, and birth defects. It is severely dangerous for animals as their extinction is in danger due to soil erosion and deforestation.
Increase in pollution with a massive amount is destructive for the livelihoods and environment too. It is a root cause of many diseases, also of global warming, and the rise in atmospheric temperature.
Protective measures should be taken to reduce the level of pollution. Pollutant free environment is crucial for a healthy living and sustainable life. As humans, it’s our responsibility to protect the environment and maintain cleanliness for a quality living.
