Phases of our lives are graded into various shades and hues, just like the shades of the rainbow. As each colour in the rainbow has its own specificity, every shade of life gives unique radiance, depending on certain situations and circumstances. Even without a single hue, our life seems devoid and barren. These ups and downs make our life worth living. Life is too short to mourn over minor ailments. Often, tiny and morsel afflictions knock at our door on and off. However, they are mere drops in the bucket of life when compared with countless blessings by Allah Almighty.
The testimony and trial by Allah are only to check whether we would withstand this probation period or lose our faith and start blaming Him, forgetting His countless blessings. Contrarily, we should take them into account as a strengthening tool. We have to surpass them with Sabar, patience. Try to seek contentment, for it is the only way to find happiness in our lives. Therefore, to lead a contented life, there are two rules: First, whenever surrounded by distress, never blame Allah; and Second, never get amused by people after seeing their seemingly perfect lives, because ours might be an inspiration for someone else.
Moreover, Allah never burdens us more than our capacities. It only gives us strength, endurance, and the urge to do more better in our lives. As a lump of coal has to bear immense heat and pressure to transform itself into a diamond, a person, similarly, has to pass-through grinding trials to be the best version. The trials are nothing but a dilemma.
Hence, we must firmly fasten our rope of faith that He would drag us out of the drowning sea of misery, despair, and hopelessness. And we must keep praying, “Oh Lord, guide us whenever we are astray.”
