It is for this reason that the Prophet SAW sent Hazrat Ali RA to Yemen to assume the office of judicature. One example of the fact that the Holy Prophet SAW preferred the judgement of Hazrat Ali the most is the case of a cow that killed a donkey. The case was held before the Prophet SAW, and He SAW ordered the men to go to Hazrat Ali RA for judgment. When Hazrat Ali RA judged the matter, the men came to the Prophet SAW for his final verdict, and the Prophet SAW said,
“ Ali ibn Abi Talib has given the same judgment of Allah the exalted. All praise be to Allah who has created among us the Ahl Al Bayt who can give judgement in the manner of Prophet David”

Hazrat Ali (RA) instructed the people to investigate whether anyone had recited the verse of the prohibition of wine in front of the man. Since there was no evidence that the man had been informed, Hazrat Ali (RA) ordered him to repent and released him.
