Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the ways people work. It is an expert system that works efficiently and effectively than human beings.

Introduction

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a technology that is developed on human intelligence like structures. It is a branch of computer science that emulates behaviours intelligently in computational processes. It generates systems that act and behave like humans. Human cognition is used to develop them by focusing on their psychological and monitoring their brain activities that how they think and reason.

History

“Necessity is the mother of invention.” The same applies to the evolution of AI. In the 1980s, with the rise of expert systems, research on AI revived. One million dollars was spent on it by 1985, at least. After its collapse in 1987, it restored in the 90s and 2000s. The only reason for AI’s revive is faster computing powers that made its work faster.

Agents and Actuators

As the machines behave like humans, they are called “Agents.” Agents perceive their environment and perform actions to gain the desired results through actuators. Human agents are eyes, tongue, ear, and other organs, and actuators are legs, hands, mouth, and other body parts. In contrast, robotic agents are cameras, and infra-red range finders and actuators are motors.

Current Scenario

At the moment, AI devices are used for interpreting of complex data, understanding human speech, gaming systems such as famous PUBG game, learning systems like famous Learning management system “Howfiv,” self-driving cars, robotic police, waiters at restaurants, house cleaning devices, and much more.

Helpful to Humanity

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has changed the lives as well as economic prospects in the society. In recent decades, AI has emerged as a powerful technology tool, but it is merely a beginning. Furthermore, AI is too beneficial for humanity, and “Hereunder” is some benefits of AI:

Task Automation

AI has automated many repetitive, dull, and laborious works. Machines only need to learn once, and they repeat the same task as many times as one wants. They can work 24/7 without any break or feeling tired. Moreover, their work is, above all, error-free.

No Need for supervision

AI needs only once to learn and does its work without any human supervision. It has decreased the human need to supervise each and everything.

Prediction and Estimation

Predictions and estimations made with the help of AI are more efficient and error-free than that of human. It has the tendency to memorize a large amount of data and details, so it works efficiently.

Uncopiable Efficiency

AI-based machines are incomparable in terms of efficiency and competency as compared to humans. Results generated from AI are 99.9% error-free and reliable. Unlike humans, AI-based machines are competent and did their work without creating a disturbance.

Future Work

The greatest goal of AI is to develop systems that think logically, solve problems, and learn. Unlike humans, Computers are far better in many fields like complex problem solving, generating computational results, etc. However, the best thing about machines is that they never get tired as a human does.

Conclusion

The evolution of AI does not belong to one field but has emerged in many fields such as mathematics, neuroscience, linguistics, psychology, computer science, and philosophy. Although researchers have achieved much in this field, they are trying hard to bring it in almost every field of life. Though many thought it is dangerous for humans, it performs tasks more efficiently than humans do.
